ART-MAROTTE MASTERCLASS SERIES
Immersive programs in ceramics and materials research
Braives, Belgium

Vision
The Art-Marotte masterclass cycle is an annual program dedicated to advanced research in ceramics and interdisciplinary materials practices.
Each edition invites an internationally renowned artist to lead an intensive small group workshop focused on experimentation, technical precision, and artistic reflection.
Designed as an immersive experience, the program makes sharing and collaboration an essential component of the creative process.
Art-Marotte approaches creation as a dialogue between matter and idea, tradition and experimentation, individual research and collective exchange.

Format
• Intensive 4-5 day masterclass
• Maximum 8 participants
• Shared accommodation included
• International Guest Artist
• Research-driven approach
• Creation of a final sculpture
The limited number of participants guarantees
personalized support and enriching exchanges.
Why immersion is important
The masterclass series is not designed as an isolated technical workshop.
It is organized as an ephemeral artistic community – a space where exchanges extend beyond workshop hours and where material research unfolds at the pace of a shared approach.
This immersive structure reflects the spirit of Art-Marotte: a creation rooted in the place, a dialogue between practices and the conviction that artistic development is enriched by sharing.
