Overview
Kristina Mar Portuguese artist living in Kyoto Japan will give 5-day intensive masterclass explores the poetic intersection between ceramic screen printing and slumped glass technology — a dialogue between image and volume, surface and mass.
Participants engage in a complete creative process: from mould theory and silk application on wet clay, to photo-emulsion screen preparation, kiln logic, and glass slumping over ceramic forms.
The workshop culminates in the development of a sculptural composition integrating fired ceramics, slumped glass and raw plaster elements. Each material retains its distinct presence while contributing to a unified body of work.
Process is not concealed — it becomes content.

Immersive Experience

The masterclass session take place at Art-Marotte, located in the historic Château de Braives.
Participants stay at the nearby Moulin du Château, a short walk from the studio.
With a collective stay at the Moulin du Château.
Over five days, participants live and work together, allowing conversations and artistic exchange to naturally extend beyond studio hours.
Participants are accommodated in shared twin rooms (two separate beds). A limited number of single rooms may be available upon request, subject to availability.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
A simple breakfast will be served each morning at the Château before the
workshop begins. This immersive structure reflects the spirit of Art-Marotte: creation as shared experience, material research rooted in place, and the conviction that artistic dialogue extends beyond the studio.
