ART-MAROTTE MASTERCLASS SERIES
Immersive Programs in Ceramics and Material Research
Braives, Belgium
Vision
The Art-Marotte Masterclass Series is an annual program dedicated to advanced research in ceramics and cross-disciplinary material practices.
Each edition invites an internationally established artist to lead an intensive, small-group experience rooted in experimentation, technical precision and artistic reflection.
The program is conceived as an immersive format, where living and working together becomes part of the creative process.
Art-Marotte approaches creation as dialogue — between material and idea, tradition and experimentation, individual research and collective exchange.

Format
• 4–5 day intensive masterclass
• Maximum 8 participants
• Collective stay included
• International guest artist
• Research-oriented approach
• Final sculptural outcome
The limited group size ensures focused guidance and meaningful exchange.
Why Immersion Matters
The Masterclass Series is not designed as a standalone technical workshop.
It is structured as a temporary artistic community — a space where conversations continue beyond studio hours and material research unfolds within a shared rhythm.
This immersive structure reflects the spirit of Art-Marotte: creation anchored in place, dialogue across practices, and the belief that artistic development is strengthened through exchange.
